Production Operative

We are looking for a dynamic Production Operative to join our excellent team.

You will be a vital link in our supply chain – working in our busy and friendly team you will be working on the batch production line to manufacture our CNC Machine kits.

You will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out assembly tasks producing machine components to the specified build-time standards
  • Operating the auto-bagging machine, hand tools, other equipment and computer based systems to aid in production
  • Managing and operating the 3D printer farm schedule to produce parts
  • Barcode scanning each kit correctly, ensure contents match order requirements
  • Packing, boxing and labelling kits effectively for shipping using paper filling and strapping machines
  • Understanding and keeping on track with the batch production timelines
  • Foreseeing any issues with the batch production
  • Reporting batch progress to the Production Manager
  • Achieving maximum production output whilst maintaining defined quality standards and minimum waste
  • Complete required quality checks, compare results against specified parameters, reporting issues
  • Keeping work areas clean and tidy

Skills Needed:

  • Attention to detail – to ensure a high quality standards of production
  • Organisation – to ensure batch production times are met
  • Communication – to coordinate with other production line team on batch progress
  • Accuracy & precision – to maintain high production output with little waste
  • Mechanical aptitude to use hand tools and machining
  • Teamwork – to be a positive, keen team player across the business.
  • Strong work ethic and desire to learn and succeed
  • Experience working within manufacturing is desirable
  • Manual handling awareness is desirable

Hours – 8am to 4:30pm (20 minute paid break, 30 minute unpaid lunch)
