TPU Bend 3D Printer filament like our normal Bend filament is designed to have characteristics similar to rubber. TPU Filament is a thermoplastic polyurethane, what makes it unique is that it is a slightly harder material, shore hardness 98A (53D), this makes Ooznest Materials TPU Bend Printer filament easier to print than our normal Bend, but a little softness is sacrificed.
WHAT MAKES TPU BEND DIFFERENT?
TPU Bend 3D Printer filament has better water and chemical resistance than our normal Bend filament. This characteristics makes it more suitable in applications like prosthetics, containers and industry applications. Adding to this it is also more resistance to abrasive wear, perfectly suited when making prosthetics.
How flexible is Ooznest Materials TPU Bend? It really depends on the percentage object infill. If you printed a thin walled object it will squash nicely, however print a high percentage infill tyre it will hold its shape well, but still have a nice rubbery consistency to it, it will just bounce when dropped on the floor.
Printing with Ooznest Materials TPU Bend 3D Printer filament is even more forgiving than printing with our normal Bend Material. As it is a harder material, a less than perfect direct extruder, or even a well constrained bowden extruder should be able to print it without any issues. TPU Bend can also just be printed on a nice clean, unheated print bed.
One note to make about TPU, once in the open air, it will absorb moisture. Our filament is shipped out in a vacuum sealed bag with less than 0.2% moisture content.
WHY CHOOSE OOZNEST MATERIALS?
At Ooznest we live, breath and dream 3D Printing. We use 3D Printers on a daily basis whether it is manufacturing parts for our machines, or just having fun.
Ooznest Materials was launched out of a necessity to bring the widest range of premium materials to every maker at affordable prices. Our filaments are manufactured in Europe to the highest standards, with only premium, not contaminated raw materials.
All our Ooznest Materials 3D Printer Filaments are manufactured to a 0.05mm diameter tolerance. Our filaments arrive vacuumed packed, inside a shrink wrapped box, with an extra special secret treat :). This insures your 3D Printer filament arrives in a pristine condition ready for printing.
Normally filament is wound onto plastic spools. We recognised that winding 3D Printer filament onto a plastic spool is completely unnecessary. All our Ooznest Material filaments are wound onto a 100% recyclable cardboard spool. Our cardboard spools are extremely rigid, they will not twist, deform, or tear from repeated use.
Not sure if our filament is right for you? Don't worry you can just buy an Ooznest Materials sample and give it a try, we guarantee you won't be disappointed with Ooznest Materials.
We have built a reputation for outstanding customer service, and we plan to keep that with Ooznest Materials. A member of our expert team is available by email or phone, for printing advice, or just a general chit chat. We have a no hassle return or exchange process, if you are happy, we are happy.

I printed with this on my cheapo flsun and on a prusa i3 mk3.
both were totally usable prints
– the flsun printer had issues eg a dripping hot end – which is a fault of the printer. i printed onto heated glass with printer tape, as i couldn’t get it to stick to the bed. 230¬∫c
Рthe prusa had to be adjusted to get it to print, eg retraction 0, do not cross paths, 15mm/s max speed, 235ºc, custom support.
the prusa produced an absolute perfect print, and all the support ( same material ) came off really cleanly ( i had to really pull it off hard as tpu does not like supports usually ).
it’s difficult to see which side had support. the print is so clean.
i printed this gopro mount for a diatone racing drone frame.
