PLA 3D Printer Filament (Polylactic Acid) is currently the most popular material used in 3D Printing worldwide. Ooznest Materials PLA Filament is a thermoplastic polymer made from sustainable resources like corn starch and sugarcane. This makes PLA biodegradable, in the correct environment it can break down in 6months.
WHAT MAKES PLA DIFFERENT?
PLA is the most popular filament used on the market for good reasons. Ooznest Materials PLA 3D Printer Filament doesn’t exhibit warping, making it very easy to stick, and stay stuck to a print bed. In addition, the printing temperature of PLA is low, 205°C, making it printable on nearly every 3D Printer currently available on the market. Printing PLA at a low print temperature makes for better defined features, less blobbing, and less stringing.
PLA 3D Printer Filament could sound like a weak material, but it shouldn’t be underestimated. Our Ooznest Materials PLA blend is slightly modified to make it tougher and less brittle than others on the market. PLA is also annealable, to take its strength to the next level.
Finally PLA is biodegradable and non-toxic. Unlike other filaments it doesn’t give a smell when printed, and is practically odourless.

Normally filament is wound onto plastic spools. We recognised that winding 3D Printer filament onto a plastic spool is completely unnecessary. All our Ooznest Material filaments are wound onto a 100% recyclable cardboard spool. Our cardboard spools are extremely rigid, they will not twist, deform, or tear from repeated use.

Ooznest isn’t the cheapest for PLA but the quality prints I am able to achieve compared to using cheaper PLA makes the extra more than worth it, essential if you’re trying to get quality small prints (tabletop miniatures etc) on your FDM printer.

Had a bit of trouble printing with this filament, solved by bumping the temperature up by 5 degrees. Other than that the quality is good. Would not recommend other colours as they were much more difficult to print with and much more expensive.

I’m new to 3d printing and was looking for a consistent and reliable filament to use so chose a number of different products to try and the Ooznest filament produce the best results. I used test prints from Teaching Tech and Makers Muse to test stringing bridging and overhang and my Ender 3 gave the best results on this filament, even managed to clear the .2 level on the makers muse tolerance test with only basic setting up. have used the the black red white and blue PLA so far and all give the same results. Just waiting for the PETG to come back in stock now

This is a very nice filament and is spooled on a cardboard reel, so no plastic waste there. i have tried filament from several different companies before, but have found this brand suits my home built machine very well. i have used ooznest for parts to built a cnc and two 3d printers and have found that they are not the cheapest, but can be relied upon to sell high quality parts.
