Micro Limit switches are a simple but effective solution to stop an axis on a machine from travelling out of limits. They are also used to find a home position, also known as a datum. They are mechanically operated with terminals: common (C), normally open (NO), and normally closed (NC). You would typically connect the ground pin on your controller’s limit switch input to the C terminal, and the signal pin to either NO or NC. Signal to NC in most situations is preferred because if any of the wires are broken, it will be classed as triggered by the controller. The un-soldered terminals version some with bare terminals to attach your own wires. The pre-soldered variant comes with 2500mm silicone wires connected in the normally closed configuration with a Molex connector.
