Diameter Tolerance: Our Chrome plated Linear Shafts still have a very good diameter tolerance but it is slightly lower than our non-chrome plated induction hardened shafts: h7 (+0,-0.012 to -0.021mm) vs h6 (+0,-0.008 to -0.013mm)

1.0 - SHAFT DIAMETER

Choose from a range of shaft diameters. This diameter is the outer diameter of the shaft.

2.0 - Required Length

Required length is the total length of the linear shaft in millimetres (mm).

A liquid-cooled machine is used to cut the linear shaft. This ensures that the shaft remains cool during the cutting process, preserving the diameter tolerance.

We will manually de-burr the ends of the shaft with a small chamfer.

Please note the ends will not be chrome plated.

Please note the linear shafts are delivered with a protective oil coating. This coating is not intended as bearing lubrication. We recommend removing this coating with Isopropyl Alcohol or a similar solvent. After removal, be sure to apply an appropriate bearing grease tailored to your specific application.
