Accurately record filament movement using a Duet Rotating Filament Monitor. When connected to a Duet 2 or 3 Controller, it can indicate movement and determine a wide range of issues including filament running out, filament skipping, jammed nozzle, and filament grinding.
The Duet Rotating Filament Monitor is basically an extruder in reverse, the filament rotates a magnet assembly which is reported back to the controller. This method is very reliable across a wide range of 3D Printer Filaments.
