65mm WorkBee Router Mount is designed for use with the WorkBee CNC Machine, or similar CNC Machines with an 80mm wide Z-Axis. Manufactured from black anodised aluminium, the two-piece construction consists of a Z-Bracket and a Router Clamp.
The Z-Bracket features a locating inset to ensure the router clamp is perfectly perpendicular, while the interchangeable single piece router clamp uses a precise cylindrical bore for secure, axial clamping of the router or spindle. This guarantees stability and accuracy during cutting.
It also includes a height reference tool, which positions the Router Mount at the correct height on the Z-Axis to maximise the workable depth of the machine. The ‘L’ shape design references the bottom of the Z-Axis and ensures perpendicular alignment. The height reference tool has two sides:
- One side for positioning 65 and 69mm Router Heads such as WorkBee Router Head, DeWalt, Katsu, and Makita.
- One side for positioning 43mm Router Heads such as Mafell and Kress.
Compatbililty

Very well made and rock solid when fixed to the Z beam.
Only slight issue is the fiddlyness of fitting. Also you need to be aware that the position of the router in the mount is 10mm/12mm further forward than the previous mount so you will lose that amount in the Y axis work area.
The clearance between the mount and the x-axis RH gantry plate fixings is very tight when X = 0mm. I had to file the protruding bolt down on the RH gantry plate to prevent fouling.

Nice solid construction and seems to give a more robust hold on router. It does extend slightly further from the Z axis compared with the Open Builds mount which is a useful change to make mounting of dust extractor easier but of course all the machine Y co-ordinates are now different and have to be accounted for when cutting clamp holes in your spoil-board. The L-plate makes levelling a lot easier but the dimensional engravings are rather confusing.
