V-Slot came about in 2013 when they launched their Kickstarter campaign to make this excellent system a reality. Since then, it has exploded, and has become a vital piece of any machine building project.

V-Slot aluminium extrusion is very similar to T-Slot, but has a V groove on all 4 sides which allows for extremely smooth linear motion. Like T-Slot, it can be used to make up the main frame of a machine, however by taking advantage of the V groove, the frame can also be used as the linear motion. V-Slot can be used to make a whole host of machines, the most popular being 3D printers, CNC machines, and camera sliders.
