The WorkBee CNC Machine is capable of accurately cutting foams, wood, plastics and aluminum at depths greater than 25mm to 0.2mm accuracy or better. Using our wealth of experience from selling the OX CNC Machine over the last 2 years, we have designed the WorkBee from the ground up to incorporate as much of the feedback and suggestions we have received in this time. Using a WorkBee CNC Kit you can manufacture engineering parts, toys, signs, furniture, or anything else you can imagine without leaving the workshop.

What makes the WorkBee CNC Machine unique is that is has been dual designed to be either a belt driven or a screw driven machine. A screw driven machine has a greater accuracy than a belt drive system, however it limits the maximum size of the machine and is more expensive. Therefore the WorkBee can be Screw or Belt Driven up to a size of 1000x1000mm, and it can be belt driven only for sizes larger than this up to 1500x1500mm. The overall design of the machine is the exactly the same for both system, so it can be changed between the two at anytime as long as the specific drive system parts are to hand.

A Hobby or Professional CNC Machine

The V-Slot system is used through out. The X and Y axis uses C-Beam extrusions, and the rest of the frame is made up of V-Slot extrusions. Using C-Beam extrusions for the drive axes not only gives additional strength, but the 'C' channel allows the drive systems to be shielded from cutting debris. When the WorkBee is screw driven, both the X, Y and Z screws are inside the 'C' channel. When it is belt driven, the Y belts are inside the 'C' channel, the X belt isn't in the 'C' channel, but as it is above the cutting area it isn't of concern; the Z screw is setup the same as a screw driven WorkBee CNC Kit.

The WorkBee CNC Machine perfectly hits the spot for a newcomer to world of CNC Machines without breaking the bank. However even a professional or small scale manufacturer would be more than surprised with its capabilities.
