The Dust Shoe is designed to keep your CNC workspace clean and efficient by containing dust and chips and extracting them through an attached extractor. By removing the cut debris, the Dust Shoe not only improves cut quality but also reduces heat buildup, extends tool life, and minimises machine maintenance.
It features a two-piece design for convenience and ease of use. The top ring securely clamps around the router head and includes a 63.5mm outlet for extractor connection. The magnetically attached brush ring, fitted with 50.8mm soft nylon bristles, it can quickly de-attach allowing for convenient tool changes.
Compatible with 69mm router heads as standard, the Dust Shoe can also be used with a wide range of router heads using our Dust Shoe Adaptors, which are manufactured to any internal diameter required.
Key Features
- Efficient Dust Extraction: Captures dust and chips directly at the cutting point for a cleaner workspace.
- Two-Piece Design: Top ring clamps around the router head, while the magnetic brush ring can be quickly detached for tool changes.
- Durable Nylon Bristles: 50.8mm soft bristles effectively contain debris while allowing smooth machine movement.
- Flexible Compatibility: Standard fit for 69mm router heads, with adaptors available for custom sizes.
Application
A Dust Shoe is essential for maintaining both machine performance and cut quality. By extracting dust and chips during machining, it helps produce cleaner finishes, prolongs tool life, and reduces wear on machine components. The magnetic brush ring ensures tool changes are quick and effortless, keeping downtime to a minimum. Whether working on wood, plastics, or composites, the Dust Shoe ensures a cleaner, more efficient CNC machine.

Great piece of kit. Fits perfecly and is easy to fit and remove for tool changes

looks well made, not used yet. See my overall review of the machine.
Bachrach (verified owner) –

The dust shoe is a well made product but i feel it overpriced by about a third. i suspect the reason for the higher pricing is that its imported from the USA. the bristles were a little longer than i would require as i typically use shorter end mills. I decided to return the item and ooznest’s team was helpful in arranging a return.
Dan Johnson (verified owner) –
works great keeps the dust down
James (verified owner) –
Very well made. Expensive thou.
Geoff M (verified owner) –
I like this product, the magnets are strong, the plastic and design is good. Some bristles are coming out already, and not used it much. I do think this item is overpriced, by about double to be honest. There are no other options I could find, other than making your own.
I would recommend from a convenience and ease of use. Just if you have the time make your own maybe.
Derrick Rocky Hutson (verified owner) –
I think it is overpriced for what it is
Thomas Hawkins (verified owner) –
Fits perfect. Picks up about 90% of the dust, even with the high humidity around Houston Texas.
Jim O’Neil (verified owner) –
Does a faily good job but pricy.
Mr Peter Phillips (verified owner) –
This is such a bonus. It’s virtually eliminated all the dust associated with this type of work. Definitely worth adding to any setup.
Mr Mike Somerton (verified owner) –
Very good, it does what it is designed to do
Paul Shedon (verified owner) –
Definitely a quality bit of kit
katelyne cooper (verified owner) –
Very good product does just what I wanted it to do. Brush strip does tend to fall out of the groove a little too easily but will put a few dabs of mastic in the groove to hold it in better. Other than that good quality product
Mike Jones (verified owner) –
Fits ok and picks up most of the bits – It’s much cleaner running a job with the shoe on. The see through top helps but it does leave the cutting head unsighted, the advantage of not being knee deep in chippings does offset this a lot! Very pleased with it so far.
Stephen Dooley (verified owner) –
Looks a very well made quality product, and so it should be for the price! Only concern, having used it for a few hours is that the brush will inevitably wear and distort fairly quickly. Not yet investigated replacement brushes.
Philip Davidson (verified owner) –
It fits well and the magnetic attachment is very convenient.
Michael Pullan (verified owner) –
Quality product no more to be said!
Ian Garry Cullen (verified owner) –
well made nice piece of kit
James Ambrose (verified owner) –
Great dust collector, has definitely helped to keep dust down. A dust collector and a proper dust extraction unit is a definite must have for a workshop.
I would say it is a pricier option, but certainly required for a safer environment
Steven Clarke (verified owner) –
Good product, but the information sheet provided is wildly inaccurate. It states that a 4″ hose can fit over the ribbed section. There was no ribbed section. Also, the entire shoe could be made out of see through products, so can easily see the work piece.
Expensive for what it is.
John (verified owner) –
Great quality dust shoe, very robust, a little over priced
Peter Honey (verified owner) –
Looks very well built not tested yet.
Mike Lycett (verified owner) –
Purchase one of these when you buy your machine – dust reduction – must be at least 85%
Easy to fit, adjust and remove.
Thomas Copestake (verified owner) –
I honestly thought this was an add on, but with a few days of use… this is a must. I’m sure most dust shoes work work, but this is well made and fit for purpose, the removable brushes make setting work 0 easily and then just clip it on. Would recommend!
Ben Flynn (verified owner) –
Very pleased with dust shoe, being magnetic it is easily attached or removed in a few seconds definitely a must have accessory for your machine.
Tautvydas Dulskis (verified owner) –
Had some issues with Z axis when reaching edge of routers capabilities, so basically it reduces working space by ~2-4 cm X axis

Very well made, fits well, pleased I purchased it

A good dust shoe, but quite expensive for what it is. However, I think a dust shoe is necessity and that’s the reason I bought it even though it is a little overpriced. My biggest complaint is that it is 15mm too wide on each side for the WorkBee. If you move the router to the X-axis edges with the dust shoe on, it will hit edges and it is likely something will break. Sooner or later you will forget it and make the mistake and hit the edges with the dust shoe on. I can’t see any reason why the shoe couldn’t be 15mm narrower on the sides.
The shoe is designed for the DeWalt router. I have a Makita that is slightly smaller and had to 3D print an adapter.
Craig Knowles – Phoenix Craft Creations (verified owner) –
Although quite expensive for what it is, it’s a must have in my opinion. Dust is really kept to a minimum with this addition & I’m so glad that I went for it.
Svanur Kristj√°nsson (verified owner) –

A quality 2 part dust shoe that works very well.
Adrian Lawrence (verified owner) –
Very effective but positioning on the router can effect homing if you’re not careful.
simon (verified owner) –
This is a neat piece of kit that holds in place with a magnet making tool changes easy. It certainly keeps the dust away.
