Watterott is an electronics company specializing in open hardware, DIY  and development components. 

Watterott was founded in March 2008 by Stephan Watterott as a sole proprietorship in Hausen, Germany. The goal was to offer their own micro controller boards and special hard-to-find development components. 

In the first few months, about 20 square meters of office, production, warehouse and shipping space were sufficient. Gradually, the product range and also the shipping volume grew. In the middle of 2010, the space was no longer enough and at the end of the year and after major renovations the move to a new location in Leinefelde took place. Since then, the assortment continues to grow and the own production at the Leinefelde location is constantly being expanded.
