Choose the Right Linear Actuator for Your Project
Linear actuators convert motor rotation into movement along a straight line. They can be used in positioning systems for sensors and inspection cameras, small automation projects such as parts feeders and sorting mechanisms, and camera sliders for video and time-lapse photography. They can also be combined to create 2-axis or 3-axis machines for pen plotting, laser cutting, CNC machining or 3D printing. Built around our modular aluminium extrusion system, our actuators are easy to integrate into a complete system or machine. Choose a belt drive for fast movement over longer distances, or a screw drive for finer movement increments and resistance to deflection along the travel axis.
Start with the load you need to move, the available space and the travel required. Our range includes NEMA17 and NEMA23 motor configurations, different extrusion profiles and a choice of gantry plates. C-Beam actuators are available in Standard, Compact, Rear Mount and Rear Mount Compact configurations. Use our actuator calculator to check the required load, speed and orientation. Stepper motors are supplied separately. Custom sizing is available on all our linear actuators.
