To give an insight into the precision cutting stage and our investment into the @troteclaseruk camera registration system we use when producing our sustainer branding and identification labels, I thought it would be good to show the process. Starting with the initial artworking phase, vector files are created ready for the printer, which include the black registration dots which link between the artwork and cut files. Once placed In the machine we select one of the dots, and this will be the initial guidepoint when the machine starts it search. Once completed, and it's verified the dots locations, it digitally registers the cut artwork to the location on the bed of the physical piece. This allows us to work with no need for a oversized bleed area which reduces ink Wastage. The laser then begins it's cut paths and gets each set ready for its next phase, which is permanent bonding to the systainers. We often do up to 80 systainers at a time. Each one individually numbered and qr code addressed. Artworking often takes. Longer than the production phase. And is often overlooked by clients when after unique identification. If we were to do the same labels 200x the cost would drop. But we specialise in the bespoke rather than the mundane πŸ˜‚πŸ‘ whilst it was costly, the camera registration system was definitely a worthwhile addition to our process. #lasercutlondon #laserprofessionals #design #22yearsofprecision #development #investment #timeconsuming #worthit #creative #postive #branding #customisation #bespoke #systainer #tanos #case #organize #labels #london

This is our third year in creating bespoke systsiner systems for customers around the world. Our most enduring system is probably the most intense refit of the containers, and these are currently operating in oilfields in every corner of the globe and also out on oil rigs in the middle of the ocean. We currently utilise UV ink technology and specific plastic primers to brand wear resistant plastics in full high definition colour up to 1440dpi. Allowing for full photographic images of the contents and cmyk colour correct logos. They are then cut on our @troteclaseruk speedy 400 with our camera registration system to give a perfect cut to the printed material. Being able to print directly onto the Tanos handles has also been a major upgrade in identifying the contents at point of hand contact. And 2 years. After starting this specific method, I am happy to say that in the harshest environments it's still looking amazing. In response to customer notes about the Tanos handles coming away and not having enough tension leading to Accidental opening I have also developed and implimented hundreds of cases that are fitted with our in house modification that increases handle tension 3X and also removes the ability for the hand to be removed accidentally in operation. I am scaling these up for use with full size systsiners. And if there is interest I will consider producing these for sale. As they are a tool free fit and can be removed if required for handle replacement. Now we have fully trialed this system to the maximum possible worst case environmental conditions and succeeded I have been discussing rolling this out on a larger scale for smaller orders, even potentially just on the labeling. So today starts a new chapter in my life, and it's taken a long time to get here. I'm 38 years old, and I finally have my final clinical diagnosis of having ADHD and today I begin my new medication (Concerta Xl). It's taken around 9 years of pushing as the NHS isn't really very well setup to treat it as the GP system acts as an ill advised barrier. To those that know me well, it's likely to explain my energy, drive and inability to finish any books given as gifts (if not entirely visual). I'm lucky in respect of the fact that during this process I have been given a diagnosis of Autism, that in combination with a high IQ, gives me an interesting trifecta that can allow for my hyper focus and obsession for detail and process, to transpire into delivering large mental leaps in my creative process. But this isn't something I can always turn off. I rarely stop, and for example have not had a day off for 5 months. Even when I do go away, I design and find new ways of making things. These can be great from a business perspective, but life is about balance.

I am not going to be doing any client work this week at the studio whilst I acclimatise to this medication, so I won't be answering emails or calls as I'm going to take some time for myself. But I hope to come back more Focused and full of energy after this. I'm determined to turn this into my #superpower
I'm sure there are many of you that are going through a similar thing, or know someone that is. Telling someone to with Adhd to

Telling someone to with Adhd to "just focus" or "write lists" is like telling a clinically depressed person to be happy. It's a neurological development issue, not something learned or chosen. People with Adhd are 300% more likely to start a business than those without, and for me it's always felt like my only option to be myself. So chances are, your already working for one of us πŸ™‚ #adhd #dignosis #development #findingmeaning #journey #adhdsuperpower #focus #medication #becomingbetter #hiddenfromview #workaholic #energy #power #superpower #iq #autism
Today is a sad day as I have to (begrudgingly) give these tools back to @grcfein after a couple of weeks on test. I have grown quite attached to them as they all run off the 5.2ah lithium batteries that my drill set came with. Personally I had always had reservations about cordless sds and cordless angle grinders... But after this... Nope... They make life and use even easier. The specs on this sds drill have it at 2j of energy per punch and a weight of 2.2kg, yes my plug in Makita Sds weighs 3.3kg and only has 2.3j of energy. Whilst I definitely will need plug in for sustained drilling/breaking... I was seriously impressed when I used this sds to stich drill out a 100mm pipe from my wall at home. The wall. Was 300mm thick, and the only sds bit I had Long enough was 20mm. The battery allowed for around 50 mins of sustained drilling through yellow brick (really hard going). I think the total. Number of holes was around 30+. Not bad for a battery drill. The angle grinder helped when my brother and myself had to an emergency chimney stack removal on the house after the new windows were fitted. It had a flue liner inside and this made short work of lopping it off. Again, with a fresh battery it was amazing! I think the sds will be making its way into my tool box soon, along with the angle grinder.. Its just the sheer convenience. Sadly didn't have the need to use the collated screw Gun.. As we nailed the roof planks on the cabin. Thank you @grcfein although... If you want.. I can look After them forever if you like #pleasedonttakethemback #lasercutlondon #fein #toolsofmassdestruction #orange #sds #anglegrinder #hardworking #5point2ah #tools #workingwednesday #cordless #battery @fein_uk
