FAQs

On your Order Confirmation email you will have received the estimated dispatch date for your WorkBee. We aim to dispatch all WorkBees by this given date.  

If you contact us around 1 week before your estimated dispatch date, we should be able to provide further updates if necessary.

Please check the online tracking for your parcel at the courier tracking website.

Please check the estimated delivery timescales on our Delivery Information page.

If there have been any delays this will be updated on the tracking information.

If it has passed the delivery timescales stated on our website and you still have not received your order, please contact us.

Please note we must follow courier rules with regards to declaring a parcel as lost. We may need to allow time to investigate with couriers before any resends can be arranged.

Orders can be amended where possible. If you wish to amend your order please contact as soon as possible via Live Message.

As we operate a same day dispatch on most orders, sometimes amendments cannot be actioned if the order has already been completed.

Please:

  • Check the shipping address on your order confirmation is correct.
  • Check if a family member/colleague/post-room has signed for the parcel at your address.
  • Check if the parcel has been left with a neighbour.
  • Check around your property as the parcel may have been left in a safe place.
  • Check if a calling card has been left. If you were not at home to accept delivery, the courier should leave a card with their contact details and you can arrange the redelivery yourself.

If you still cannot locate the parcel, please contact us to investigate this further with the courier.

We also exhibit at shows with demonstrations of the machine.  Please contact us for details of any upcoming shows.

Any claims of shortage need to be made within 7 days of receipt of the order.

We ship worldwide. All of the delivery options can be on our Delivery Information page.

To get exact shipping costs of your order, use the ‘calculate shipping’ button in the shopping basket.

Or at the checkout, when you enter your delivery address, it will display the shipping options and prices available at your delivery address.

The shipping prices do not include any customs & duty fees which may incur in the destination country. We cannot handle these we’re afraid.

These will be billed from the courier directly to the recipient.

We advise contacting the local authority to enquire how much these charges may be.

We have an easy online quoting system on our website, where you can add all items you wish to your basket and create a quote using the ‘Quote Checkout’ button. This will also allow you to quote the shipping to your delivery address. 

Once completed you will get an email with the details and a PDF copy of the quote. 

You can view Quotes in your account, make changes and convert Quotes to orders by paying.

Yes. Add items to your cart and proceed to checkout as normal, you can then select the payment method as ‘Direct Bank Transfer’, and place the order. 

You will receive an email with the bank details and instructions to make the bank transfer.

Please note it can sometimes take a day or two for the bank transfer to be allocated to your order.

Yes. Orders by Purchase Order need to be placed directly on our website.

Add items to your cart and proceed to checkout as normal, you can then select the payment method as ‘Purchase Order’.

Add your PO number in the box provided and place the order. 

You will receive an email with instructions of where to send a copy of the corresponding PO.

Please note payment will be required up-front for PO orders unless you have a credit account with us.

As the UK is no longer a member of the European Union VAT will not be charged at checkout to anyone outside of the UK, regardless of EU VAT Status. Any tax to be paid will be handled at import into your country.

There is a field at checkout to enter your EU VAT Number, but this is for your records only and has no effect on taxes to be paid to us.

This usually happens if there is an issue with the billing address matching the card being used or issues with the 3D Secure checks.

Please double-check the billing address matches that of the card and try again. If there is still an issue, then we advise you may need to contact the card provider. 

The payment may show as pending as the bank holds the money, but it will shortly be returned. No payment has been taken by us.

At checkout select PayPal as the payment option, and it will show PayPal Credit as a Payment source if eligible.

As of January 2023 we are fully up to date and all WorkBee’s will ship within 1-2 days.

The Original WorkBee Z1+ CNC Machine includes everything you need to build a moving CNC Machine.

The Configurator lists all the extras we offer.

The essential extras you need are: Router Head and CAM Software.

End Mills, Dust Shoe, Touch Probe, Surfacing Bit and Enclosure are all optional extras.

Items we do not supply are the MDF Spoilerboard and Workpiece clamps.

If you buy the Dust Shoe, you will also need a suitable extraction system.

The WorkBee has the following software workflow: CAD > CAM > WorkBee Control.

CAD/CAM
The CAD program creates designs and the CAM program turns designs into toolpaths (G-code).

Most CAM programs have basic CAD functionality built-in.

We offer Carveco and Vectric branded software which has great functionality and ease of use. CAM Software can be added in the product configurator.

WorkBee Control
The WorkBee Control software comes built-in on the machine.

It is browser-based so can be used on your computer, tablet* or phone*.

Use WorkBee Control to send the toolpaths to the WorkBee, set work zero and move the machine around.

*tablet/phone functionality only available on the Wifi version of the WorkBee Z1+

The connectivity is how you will connect to the WorkBee Z1+.

If you will have a strong Wifi signal near the machine – Choose the Wifi version.

If there is no Wifi or the signal is weak – Choose the Ethernet version*.

If you plan to have a computer next to the WorkBee Z1+ at all times – Choose the Ethernet version*.

*The ethernet cable connects directly from the ethernet port on your computer to the WorkBee. No internet is required.

A USB to Ethernet Adaptor can be used – you can get one here.

With the recommended 18mm spoilerboard the maximum depth of material you can cut the whole way through is 44mm.

You can cut thicker material up to a maximum of 88mm, but not the whole way through.

With a WorkBee CNC Machine you can cut a huge range of materials including:

  • Foams
  • Plastics
  • Woods
  • Carbon Fibre
  • Aluminium

We’re afraid we do not offer an assembly service.

The WorkBee Z1+ is a self build CNC Machine Kit, and our easy-to-follow and detailed assembly manuals make the build almost as fun as using the machine!

Building your own WorkBee yourself will equip you with knowledge of all the ins and outs of the machine – making maintenance much easier.

Only simple tools are required (spanners, allen keys, screwdrivers etc.) – all the crimping, soldering, and commissioning the controller are all done for you!

The technical support team are always able to offer assembly help and advice.

Due to the production line nature of how we make our Ooznest Original WorkBees, we cannot offer any custom sizes outside the standard sizes you see on our Original WorkBee product page

OTHER PRODUCT FAQs

The drag chains we sell are sized by the internal dimension, not the external dimension. If you have already received your drag chains, please double-check and measure the internal dimension of the drag chain you have received.

If clearance extrusions have been purchased please note that these extrusions have a slightly smaller slot size than our normal range. This range has a slot size of 5.77mm (Normal range has a slot size of 6.13mm). The smaller slot size gives better contact with wheels, however, it means our Drop-In Tee Nuts will not work reliably with this extrusion. Everything else will work as normal, including normal Tee Nuts.

Ooznest 30 Days Return Policy

If for any reason you no longer require your purchase, you can return it to us in its original packaging as long as its within 30 days from the date of delivery. 

Once returned items are received, we will inspect the goods, and issue the refund for the price you paid. Refunds are only issued once the goods are in our possession.

Original shipping charges will not be refunded for returns.

Faulty Products: If you think your product is faulty, please contact us first under the ‘An Existing Order’ tab first. 

NOTE: We do not offer the option to exchange products.

NOTE: Return requests for items with the ‘Clearance’ marker must be submitted within 14 days from the date of delivery. 

NOTE: There are a few exceptions to the returns policy:

  • Software: Software cannot be returned or refunded once you have been sent the ‘Software Registration’ email.
  • Customised products: For products which are customised, including those with a cutting service, we reserve the right to refuse the return.
  • Original WorkBee CNC Machine Kits: All WorkBee kits are made to order, we reserve the right to refuse returns once these have been dispatched.

Any dispatched customised products or Original WorkBee CNC Machine Kits which are agreed to be returned are subject to a restocking and administration fee which will be advised at the time of the return request. 

Return requirements 
Items must be returned (in our opinion) in a perfect, ‘as-new’ condition, suitable for resale.
You, the customer, are responsible for the cost of the return postage.
Proof of posting should be obtained.
We will not be held liable for items getting lost in the post, so please use a tracked service.
